1. Corporate Identity & Legal Separation

Uncanny Details LTD is a subsidiary of Big Box Ltd. However, Uncanny Details LTD operates as a separate and distinct legal entity.

Limitation of Claim: You acknowledge and agree that any legal action, claim, or dispute arising out of your use of this website, our products, or our services shall be directed solely against Uncanny Details LTD. You explicitly waive any right to seek damages or legal recourse against the parent company, Big Box Ltd, or its other subsidiaries and affiliates. The liabilities of Uncanny Details LTD are its own and do not extend to the assets or operations of the parent company.

2. Scope of Services

Our platform facilitates a wide range of "Art-Tech" and consultancy services. Your use of these services is subject to the following specific conditions:

• Art Exhibitions (Digital & Physical): We provide a platform for viewing and inquiry. Access to physical galleries may be subject to additional house rules and safety protocols.
• Corporate Art Leasing: Leasing is governed by a separate, specific Lease Agreement. The Terms of Use here provide the framework for the initial inquiry and selection process.
• Interior & Space Styling: Our styling advice is a creative service. We are not responsible for the structural integrity of buildings or the work of third-party contractors hired to implement design suggestions.
• Art Consultancy & Valuation: Valuations are professional opinions based on market data at a specific point in time. They do not constitute a guarantee of future value or a financial "investment" recommendation or any form of guaranteed financial returns or investment advice.
• Global Art Logistics: While we facilitate the import, export, and packaging of art, our liability for transit is limited to the terms of the insurance policy taken out for the specific shipment.
• Artist Representation: We act as a bridge between artists and collectors. All representation is based on mutual respect and specific agency agreements that protect the artist’s original vision.

3. The Digital Gallery & "Expressions of Interest"

Our products feature a "Digital Viewing Room" where you can explore physical artworks.

• Not an Automatic Sale: Clicking a button to "Make an Offer" or "Inquire" does not constitute a final sale. It is an expression of interest.
• The Offline Component: Because we deal in physical (and on occasion, digital), high-value art, all sales are finalized through direct consultation. We review every offer manually to ensure the piece is available and that shipping/logistics can be properly coordinated before any payment is taken.

4. Intellectual Property & The Artist’s Rights

This is the heart of what we do. All content, including images of artwork, brand identity, and website copy, is the property of Uncanny Details LTD or the artists we represent. You may not reproduce or use any content for commercial purposes without our express written consent.

• Respect the Work: All content on this site and our various product sites - including images of artwork, text, and our brand name — is protected by copyright law.
• Limited License: You may browse and share links to our gallery for personal, non-commercial use. However, you may not download, reproduce, or use images of the artwork for commercial purposes without explicit written permission from Uncanny Details and the artist.
• Copyright Ownership: Purchasing a physical piece of art grants you ownership of the physical object, but not the copyright. The artist retains the right to the image itself unless otherwise agreed upon in a separate legal contract.

5. Authenticity & Art Law

We take provenance seriously.

• Certificates of Authenticity (COA): Every original work sold through Uncanny Details comes with a COA. This is your legal proof of the work's origin and value.
• Resale Rights: We operate in accordance with applicable art laws. In some jurisdictions, artists may be entitled to a "Resale Royalty" (Droit de Suite) if the work is sold again in the future. We will advise you if this applies to your purchase.

6. Professional Services (Valuation & Design)

When you engage us for Art Valuation or Interior Design Consultancy:

• Expert Opinion: Our valuations are professional assessments based on current market data and physical inspection. They are opinions of value and do not guarantee future appreciation or resale price.
• Consultancy Scope: Our design advice is bespoke. Implementation of these designs (especially structural changes) should be reviewed by licensed contractors.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

We strive for perfection, but art and technology can be unpredictable.

• "As Is" Basis: The website and its content are provided "as is."
• Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Uncanny Details LTD’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service or product in question.

8. User Conduct

We built this space for art lovers. To keep it safe:

• You agree not to use any automated "scrapers" or bots to harvest data or images from our site.
• You agree not to provide false information when making an offer or creating an account on any/all of our products.

9. Changes to These Terms

We are a growing company, and our "details" may evolve. We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

While we have a global outlook, Uncanny Details LTD is registered in Abuja, Nigeria. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes that we cannot resolve over a friendly conversation will be settled through the courts of Abuja.
